Updating Multiple Records

An administrator may want to make the same edit to multiple records. CyberAudit-Web enables this using the Apply to Selected operation. Apply to Selected operations may be used with these items:

  • CyberLocks
  • Doors
  • FlashLocks
  • Fobs
  • CyberKeys
  • People

...as well as some Communicators.

When Apply to Selected operations are available from an edit page, they will appear with a blue italic font. Examples of different Apply to Selected operations are shown below.

When Apply to Selected appears at the bottom of the page with the Save and Cancel buttons, all the settings on the page are applied to the selected items. This is typically seen in the individual CyberKey properties such as pages for CyberKey Behavior, Emails to Key Holder, and others. ApplyToSelectedPage.png

Property pages for CyberLocks, FlashLocks, People, and some Communicators enable selecting individual properties to Apply to Selected. Only checked properties will be applied to the selected items.

Property pages for CyberLocks, FlashLocks, and People enable bulk operations for tags. There are three options for the bulk operations:
  1. Add tags to Selected - Items in the Selected Tags column of the item chooser will be added to the selected items without affecting the status of other tags for that item.
  2. Apply tags to Selected - Items in the Selected Tags column of the item chooser will replace the tags for all selected items.
  3. Do not apply tags to Selected - Changes to selected tags will apply only to the current record.
