FlashLock troubleshooting for End Users.

Some common problems and solutions.

The CyberAudit Web system will send out a FlashLock access link. Access is granted via text or email.

Text or email can be marked as spam or blocked. On an Android phone, it will be marked Spam or Blocked. On an iPhone, it will be Junk.

It would be good to check your email spam folder if the FlashLock Link was sent via email. If a text was sent, there are other things to check.

Your text app may have a section for spam and blocked messages. On an Android phone, it will be marked Spam or Blocked. On an iPhone, it will be Junk. Check for a message from an (833) number.

Steps to find filtered messages on an iPhone.

  1. Go to settings on your iPhone
  2. Scroll down and tap on Messages
  3. Scroll down and tap on Unknown & Spam
  4. Toggle Filter Unknown senders

Steps to find filtered messages on an Android phone.
  1. Open your text message app.
  2. Tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Tap Spam and Blocked from the menu.

Another instance is if a user has unsubscribed. Unsubscribing could be done in error as you have the option to respond with "Stop" to unsubscribe. To correct this, respond to a previous text message with "UNSTOP". You will receive a message to confirm you are resubscribing.

Issues using the FlashLock Link.

If you can load the link, but the Flashlock is not opening, here are some steps to try.

 1. Check the brightness of your screen and set it as bright as possible.

 2. Hold the screen up to the optical reader of the FlashLock, as demonstrated in the animation.

 3. If you receive a broken key icon, ask your admin to check your access and resend a new link.

Flash Access App

Your administrator can send you a link to the Flash Access app.

The link will allow you to download the app and set the needed settings.

If the link installs, but you don't see access, we will need to make a change.

  1. open the Flash Access App.
  2.  Tap domain settings.
  3. enable using links by tapping the button.
  4. Use the  Flash link you received again to apply the settings.

If you still have issues, please create a ticket for further assistance.
