How to update a CyberKey

This article explains how to apply the settings to a Cyberkey once you make changes in the system.

We will assume you have made a change to a key and now need to apply that change.

If you have not done so, you can download the Cyberlink 2 software. You may need an administrator's assistance to install the software.

Once Cyberlink2 software is installed, you can click the link in the upper right corner of the home screen, "Launch Cyberlink."

If you haven't used the USB station before, you may need to create a "Portable Link." There is a separate article that covers portable links you can reference.

Now that the software is launched, plug the key into the USB Station.

Alternatively, if you have a Web Authorizer, it will update the key if you plug it in. It may ask for an issue or mission number if that is how you chose to issue the key.

If you have a Validikey Vault, the key will update when issued next to the user.

For the users with Bluetooth keys linked to the app, users only need to click on the Sync button in the app to update their key.

Please check the articles on "Portable Links"  and Bluetooth keys for reference.
