 Adding a Bluetooth Key

Step 1) Add the Bluetooth CyberKey to your system.

An administrator should log in to the Cyber Audit Web software to add the keys if they are not already added on the site.

Also note: every page on the website has a question mark that is the link to help for that particular page

On your home screen, you will want to Navigate to the CyberKeys menu.

Click the circle with the plus sign to add a new key.

Add the new key serial number and save making sure to add it to the proper subsystem for your users or group.

 Then click on save.

It is recommended to issue the key if you are ready to provide it to a user.

Click on the pencil Icon to issue the key.

Select a person from your existing contacts or add a new person. Choose if you wish to apply a key template.

Step 2) Issue a Portable Link for the end user's phone.

Because we focus on security there is another step to take. We need to issue what is called a “Portable link” to give the user permission to update the key from the software.

You will navigate to the top menu bar and choose from the “Communicators” can choose “Portable Links” from the menu.

Ensure you have the proper subsystem and click on the “+” in the top right. To add a new Portable Link.

Add a name for the Portable Link

Then select Android/iOS (Cyber Audit-Link) from the drop-down and if you wish you may enter the email to the end-user(of the phone) to provide them with the issue number.

Step 3) Download the software to the phone and set it up.

Next, if you haven’t already. Download the CyberAudit Link App.

Search the Google Play store or iOS app store for the Cyber Audit Link App.

 Google Play Store link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.videx.cyberlink

Apple App store link:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cyberaudit-link/id1249090224?platform=iphone

First, we need to get the settings to connect. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner and choose Settings. For iOS users, there is a gear icon in the upper left corner to access the settings.

You may need to add the Server and account information if they are not populated.

The server information will be the website address, an example: pilot.tecsolutionsinc.com

Once they are entered you can tap “Test Connections”.

The user will be prompted to enter in the issue number. This is the issue number from the “Portable Link” you created. They will enter this number and click ok. They only need to enter this in once.

Once they enter in the proper issue number they will see the following.

Step 4) Add your issued key.

After testing the connection, you can scan for your key(s). The app may ask to turn on your Bluetooth connection if it is not already on. Please turn on your Bluetooth connection.

It will scan and display Bluetooth CyberKeys available to pair with. The serial number for the key is the identifier you would like to match. Tap to connect.

If a CyberKey is already issued in the CAW system. It will show the association with the user in the app.

It will display the person assigned to the key and the serial number for the key.

Tap the Key listed to communicate with the CAW server

If there are any changes in the CAW site for the CyberKey or Person assigned to the key, Sync with Server will update the key permission and download the audit to the site.

Show Expiration will connect to the key and collect the current expiration it has stored in its settings.

The key is now ready to be used.
