Flex 1 System Display Messages
The following is a list and discription of messages which may appear on a display connected to the original model Flex System hub. Messages for the Flex II system are here.

UNKNOWN USB DEVICE |
A USB device was not recognized as a mass storage type by the Flex System hub. The drive must be formatted as FAT or FAT32. |
LOAD NET SETTINGS |
The Flex System hub is loading network settings from a USB configuration. This message normally will not be seen because the process happens very quickly. |
BAD NET SETTINGS |
The USB network configuration settings failed an integrity check. |
BAD PROXY SETTINGS |
The proxy settings received from USB failed an integrity check. |
BAD CONFIG |
The USB configuration file failed an integrity check. |
DOWNLOAD STATUS |
Indicates the Flex System hub is writing its status and diagnostic information to a USB flash drive. |
DOWNLOAD FLEX EVENTS DOWNLOAD KEY EVENTS |
Indicates the Flex System hub is writing its audit trail events to a USB flash drive based on instructions received in the fetch diagnostics page. |
USB READY |
The Flex System hub successfully wrote the requested data to the USB flash drive. The drive may now be removed. |
CHECK USB FORMAT |
The Flex System hub discovered a newly inserted USB flash drive and is determining whether it can decipher the format of the drive. |
BAD USB FORMAT |
The Flex System hub could not decipher the format of the newly inserted USB flash drive. |

PIN" | The person record was found and requires a PIN be entered to validate identity. |
BAD PIN | The PIN entered does not match the PIN on record for the identified person. |
ENTER NEW PIN |
The user has been identified by RFID card scan or mission number and must create a new PIN. At this point 4 to 8 digits must be entered followed by the ,#,. |
CONFIRM NEW PIN |
The user has just entered a new PIN and must enter the new PIN again to confirm it is correct. |
READY | The Flex System hub is idle but it does not have a connection with CyberAudit-Web. |
READY* | The Flex System hub is idle and has a connection to CyberAudit-Web. |
BUSY | The Flex System hub is processing a command or request. |
UNKNOWN CARD |
The scanned RFID access card was not recognized. |
LINKUP HOST |
The Flex System hub did not recognize the scanned RFID card, entered mission #, or inserted CyberKey and is attempting to contact CyberAudit-Web for resolution. |
UNKNOWN MISSION |
The mission entered using the Data Knob or Keypad Display was not recognized. |
ACCESS EXPIRED |
The schedule paired with the Door or Vault(s) has expired for the person attempting access or the mission is past its Final End Date. |
ACCESS OUT OF SCHEDULE |
Access was attempted to the Door or Vault(s) outside the time frames of the scheduled access for the person. |
NO ACCESS |
The person assigned to the RFID access card or mission # does not have permission to access the door or to use the Vault. |
RETURN KEY |
Instuction to return a CyberKey to a Vault from a mission. |
KEY IN CLOSE VAULT |
Once the Flex System hub determines that the key inserted into the Weatherized Vault is valid it displays this message. |
INVALID KEY |
An invalid key was inserted into a Weatherized Vault or Vault 20 FX. CyberAudit-Web evaluates the key ID. If that ID is eligible to assign to the Flex Hub, it will do so automatically and update the hub at the next opportunity. |
REMOVE INVALID KEY |
A CyberKey in the current Vault is not valid. If it is in a Weatherized Vault, it must be removed from the Vault to resume normal operations. |
KEY IN | A CyberKey was inserted into a Vault 20 FX or Keyport. |
DISABLE KEY |
CyberAudit-Web sent a configuration to the CyberKey to disable all access priviledges. |
KEY OUT CLOSE VAULT |
A CyberKey was removed from a Weatherized Vault. |
KEY OUT | A CyberKey was removed from a Vault 20 FX or a Keyport. |
NO KEY SETTING |
A mission number was found but no corresponding CyberKey programming instructions were found. |
MISSION ALREADY OUT |
The requested mission has already been checked out from another communicator and may not be checked out again until that mission has been checked in. |
NO MISSION ASSIGNED |
No mission is assigned to the scanned RFID access card. |
PROGRAM KEY |
Displays when the Flex System hub is loading a CyberKey with a mission or disabling it after returning it to a Vault. |
DOWNLOAD KEY |
Displays when the Flex System hub is downloading the audit trail records from a CyberKey. |
ISSUE" or MISSION" |
The CyberKey inserted into the KeyPort may be issued to a person or used with a mission. The user may enter the unique number followed by '"'. |
UNKNOWN ISSUE" MISSION" |
The number entered was not recognized by CyberAudit-Web as either a valid Issue number or Mission. |
KEY COMM FAIL |
Indicates the Flex Hub was not able to maintain good communications with a CyberKey. Typically this occurs because of contamination on the key contacts on the Vault and/or the key tips. (CyberKey Cleaning Instructions) |
KEY READY |
The CyberKey in the Vault or Keyport is programmed and may be removed. |
KEY ADDITION DENIED |
CyberAudit-Web cannot issue or use the CyberKey for the requested purpose. |
KEY ASSIGNED TO VAULT |
A CyberKey assigned to a Vault was inserted in a Keyport. |
UNKNOWN KEY |
A key inserted into a Keyport is unknown to the current system and its flag is set indicating it belongs to another system. |
JOB" OR ADMIN" |
A CyberLock Programmer or Grand Master was inserted into a Keyport and CyberAudit-Web is prompting to enter the programming job number or the admin number of the administrator adding or programming CyberLocks. |
BAD JOB" OR LOGIN" |
CyberAudit-Web did not find a Programming Job or Administrator number matching the number entered. |
NEW KEY INPUT ISSUE" |
A Grand Master is not a member of the system and must first be issued before configuring it with a programming job. |
UNKNOWN ISSUE" |
CyberAudit-Web did not find the Issue Number entered. |
ISSUING KEY |
The entered Issue Number was found and CyberAudit-Web is proceeding to add the Grand Master to the system. It will next prompt for a JOB" or LOGIN". |
NEW LOCK LOGIN" |
The Grand Master automatically programmed CyberLocks unknown to the system. A LOGIN" is needed to add the locks to the system with visibility at the correct administrator node. |
BAD LOGIN" |
CyberAudit-Web did not find the Login Number entered. |
NEW LOCK ADD DENIED |
CyberAudit-Web did not permit adding lock IDs to the system. Check the permissions of the administrator associated with the LOGIN". |
OPEN <name of Vault> |
Alternates with the KEY READY message. Instructs to open the Vault to retrieve the programmed CyberKey. |
VAULT OPEN |
The door on the Weatherized Vault has been turned away from the locked position. |
VAULT CLOSED |
The door on the Weatherized Vault has been returned to the closed and locked position. |
NO EMPTY VAULT |
There is no empty Weatherized Vault or key retainer available for returning a CyberKey from a mission. |
OPEN DOOR |
Access has been granted to the Door. It may now be opened. |
DOOR OPEN |
The Door has been opened. (Requires a door sensor connected to the Door and I/O module. |
DOOR CLOSED |
The Door has returned to the closed position. (Requires a door sensor connected to the Door and I/O module. |
LINKUP HOST |
The Flex System hub does not have a record cached for the requested access so it is attempting to notify CyberAudit-Web of the request. |
KEY DISABLED |
A deleted CyberKey has been cleared of all access permissions. It may now be issued to another person or used with a mission. |
NO KEY RETURN KEY |
There are no available CyberKeys in the Vault or Vaults but the Vault is open to return a CyberKey if desired. |
NO VAULT OR DOOR |
An operation requires a Vault or a Door but there is currently no Vault in the group. |
KEY ADDITION DENIED |
The key in the KeyPort cannot be used because the Key is the wrong type or the mission is no longer valid. |

The person has permission to check a CyberKey out from a Vault but the Vault does not have a valid CyberKey available to issue. |
NO DOOR |
The Flex System Hub has attempted to operate a Door but could not connect to the associated Door and I/O module. |
NOT VAULT 20 FX |
A special key input was entered applicable only to a Vault 20 FX. |
IHS DOOR CLOSE |
The Flex Hub received a signal to lock the Door. |
IHS DOOR OPEN |
The Flex Hub received a signal to unlock the Door |
START IHS |
The hub is responding to an Inter-hub signal. |
CANCEL IHS |
The hub received a command to stop responding to an Inter-hub signal. |
BAD KEY SETTING |
Occurs if a cached record in the Flex System hub for a mission is corrupt. |
RTC STOP | The Flex System hub clock stopped. No access will be granted to either a Vault or a Door. |
MEMORY FULL |
The Flex System hub memory is full. No additional activity is allowed until it can connect and upload to CyberAudit-Web. |
BOOTLOAD FLEX HUB |
The Flex System hub is updating its firmware from CyberAudit-Web. |
BOOTLOAD MODULE |
The Flex System hub is updating the firmware of one of its modules. |
BOOTLOAD FAIL |
A firmware update process failed. |
BYPASS MODE |
The Flex System hub needs to contact CyberAudit-Web about an unknown key in its Keyport but the permission to contact has been disabled. |
DEADBOLT UNLOCK |
An input configured as a Deadbolt is reporting open. |
DEADBOLT LOCK |
An input configured as a Deadbolt is reporting closed. |
