An IR Encoder 10 is a USB-to-infrared device designed to enable communications between a
computer or Android mobile device and a CyberKey, FlashLock, or
fob. It mounts as a USB HID device and
works with CyberLink 2 software.
A legacy IR Encoder, manufactured prior to 2017, mounted instead as a USB mass storage device. It worked with computers running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It does not work with Windows 10. Other Communicators Steps to add an IR Encoder |

To program a CyberKey with an infrared port, insert the IR Encoder into a computer and launch the CyberLink program. Position the CyberKey's IR window within about three inches of the IR Encoder. The CyberLink program will automatically detect the keys and show the status of communications. |
