Supported RFID Access Cards

Videx® products such as the Flex System RFID Reader and the ValidiKey 2 Plus Vault and Station read the ID from RFID Access Cards. The following cards may be read and decoded by Videx products:

• 13.56MHz - ISO/IEC 14443 format type A and B cards including:
• MIFARE™ Classic Type A and B.
• Legic®
• 13.56MHz - ISO 15693 format cards including:
• I-CODE™

Note: Videx RFID readers may not be able to retrieve the ID of RFID Access Cards with additional layers of encryption or operating system dependencies. Examples of this include:

• MIFARE DESFire and MIFARE DESFire EV1
• FIPS security above 'BASIC CHUID'
• TWIC security levels 2, 3, 4
• Any card technology that uses Secure Identity Object (SIO) wrappers

Wiegand RFID readers which connect to the Flex System Door and I/O Module may be able to read RFID cards with other frequencies and specifications. Please consult manufacturer specifications.
