Subsystem Codes
Subsystem codes are encrypted passwords that enable access to CyberLocks. They also enable resetting CyberLocks.
- By default, every lock has one subsystem code. It is also possible to allow locks to have no Subsystem Code via a checkbox in Global Preferences. CyberAudit-Web automatically assigns both access codes and a subsystem code based on the node properties of the administrator who added the lock.
- Subsystem codes are used by subsystem master keys for gaining access to locks.
- Subsystem reset keys and CyberLock Programmers with a "reset" Programming Job also use the subsystem code.
- A subsystem code may be assigned to a subsystem when the subsystem is created.
By default, Subsystem codes may only be added to the system from the console of the CyberAudit-Web server (the web browser address must be "localhost").
For systems that want the option to periodically change access codes, a system may be set to Allow locks with no Subsystem codes. CyberLocks with no subsystem code cannot be opened with a Grand Master or by a subsystem master key.
