View data beginning ... and ending - Only the audit trail data since the beginning date through the end date will be shown.

Audit data for a CyberLock or is available from two sources:

View Data Downloaded from keys/locks - Data from CyberKeys is retrieved each time a CyberKey is programmed with a Communicator. For CyberLock Blue, key audits also include data from fobs and from the Cyber Access app. FlashLock audit data comes from fobs, Flash Access, and CyberKeys.

Data from CyberLocks must be downloaded through instructions to a CyberKey, Grand Master, or CyberLock Programmer. A CyberLock Blue may be downloaded by either CyberLink 2 with an IR Encoder 10 or by the CyberAudit Link app. FlashLocks may be downloaded using the FlashLock Assistant applications.

Both sources of audit data offer these options:

View dates and times not rendered to a time zone - By default, CyberAudit-Web attempts to render all times retrieved from keys, fobs, and locks to a time zone. The accuracy of this process depends on having accurate time zone information either in the database, the key, or both. In some cases time zone information might not be available. Examples of this include:

  • Times from audit data prior to programming a key or fob for the first time
  • Times from lock audit data where the key is not and never was a member of the database

Since CyberAudit-Web version 1.4, CyberAudit-Web has recorded the raw value of dates and times from audit trail data as retrieved from keys and locks. Check this box to view this data without rendering it to a time zone.

View repetition count for each event - Audit trail events are recorded by CyberKeys and CyberLocks with a 2 second resolution. If the same event happens more than once within that 2 second window, CyberAudit-Web increments a counter within the same record. This is called a "repetition count". Keys or locks with recurring repetition counts may indicate poor contact and may benefit from cleaning.

View audit data for current serial number instead of Item ID - By default, audit trail data for a selected lock record displays audit events associated with the item ID of the selected lock record. It may be useful for troubleshooting or other types of investigations to instead view the audit data for the lock serial number, regardless of the Item ID. For example, if the lock was replaced by another lock in a lock record, viewing the lock data by serial number is the best way to see a complete audit for that lock serial.

Viewing data downloaded from a CyberLock offers another option:

View all events - This option views all data downloaded from the selected CyberLock regardless of date. This is useful for viewing records from CyberKeys whose date values are outside of the expected date range due to an inaccurate clock in the key. Data downloaded from locks is always shown in the order it was written to the database so inaccuracies in clocks in the CyberKeys will not affect the sorting of this data. Data downloaded from locks will appear in the order that the events occurred.
