CyberLocks are high security access control cylinders which have no conventional keyway and can not be picked. These electronic cylinders are the exact dimensions of the mechanical cylinders they replace. They install into the lock hardware with the same ease of the mechanical cylinder and do not change how the lock hardware functions. No wiring or battery is needed at the lock; power is provided by the battery in the key.

With over 400 cylinder designs, CyberLocks install in interior and exterior doors, padlocks, containers, and cabinets.

The CyberLock cylinder has a circuit board with a micro-processor and memory. Four types of intelligence are stored in the cylinder: Encrypted access codes that ensure only keys within the system work with the lock, the unique ID of the lock cylinder, an audit trail of events, and a lost key list.

The Generation 2 CyberLock was introduced in 2020. It has the same physical dimensions and characteristics as the first generation CyberLocks. It offers two modes of operation:

  1. Legacy or Gen 1 mode - In this mode it behaves just like the original CyberLock and has the same capacities. This mode is supported by all CyberKeys.
    • Up to 1100 audit events
    • Up to 16 key serials in a lost key list
    • Proprietary encryption between lock and key
  2. Gen 2 mode - This mode enables more audit event and lost key list storage as well as standard encryption. CyberLocks in this mode may only be opened by Generation 2 CyberKeys. This mode is enabled in CyberLock Properties.
    • Up to 6500 audit events
    • Up to 500 CyberKey serials in a lost key list
    • AES-256 encryption between lock and key

Appearance and physical dimensions are the same for Gen1 and Gen2 CyberLocks. However serial numbers for Gen2 CyberLocks begin with 'L50' for standard models and 'L31' for RoHS models.

CyberLock Blue was introduced in 2022. It is an electonic lock with Bluetooth (BLE) which enables using an Android or iOS device to connect to the lock and verify access credentials using the Cyber Access app. CyberLock Blue also offers infrared (IR) communications. It is programmed using either the CyberLink 2 or CyberAudit Link Android app in combination with an IR Encoder 10. The Generation 2 CyberKeys CyberKey Flash, CyberKey Air2, and CyberKey Blue 3 are also capable of opening CyberLock Blue via IR.

Features:
  • Up to 6460 audit events
  • Up to 256 CyberKey or fob serials in a lost key list
  • Access is authenticated using 256bit AES CMAC challenge/response. (CMAC is a NIST recommended algorithm .)
  • A G sensor (accelerometer) used to wake the bluetooth radio to enable communications.
CyberLock Blue is available in two forms: Standard and Padlock.
