Direct Lock Access Assignments

Turning this option on in subsystem preferences enables an administrator to assign some or all lock access permissions directly to the key. Since Access Lists substantially streamline the process of assigning access to locks, this option is off by default. In some installations a high number of key holders may require access to a unique set of locks where the re-use of Access Lists is minimal. In these cases the administrator may wish to enable this option.
